What is our expansion plan?

On Old Annville Day in 2021, our library announced that we will be expanding our current building to include a 3,400 sq. ft. addition and the property at 226/228 East Main Street in Annville! The new facility will have larger spaces for children, youth, and adults; this includes study rooms, a reading patio, Lillie’s Place, a creativity center, along with new community rooms, new stairs, and new ADA accessible restrooms and entrances!

Why is it important to support your local library?

Even if you don’t frequent our library (or any library for that matter), libraries serve their communities by providing free access to all sorts of knowledge! Whether it is space for after school reading groups to meet (which the AFL offers during the school year) or computer classes for those who want to further their tech skills (we offer these too!), libraries help to connect their communities with the resources they need to succeed.

Light Up Your Library Luminary Event

For Valentine’s Day and Library Lover’s Month, we asked the Annville-Cleona community to make a donation towards the library’s expansion project. In return, they received a bag (or multiple depending on how much is donated) to decorate, with the theme of showing off how much this community loves their library! We had a great turn out and would like to thank Reeds Locksmith business for their contribution.

Smart Cookie Trivia Event

At the end of March 2022, we hosted a “Smart Cookie Trivia” event at the American Legion in Annville. We had nine teams battle head to head against each other, answering a broad range of questions ranging from medical terminology to identifying different species of fish! The event was hosted by Eva Stevens and catered by Rotunda Restaurant & Brewery. Door prizes were given out between rounds in addition to the first place team winning $200 in cash and the second place team winning $120 in Rotunda gift cards!
