Lebanon County Library System celebrated the 150,000th checkout in its e-library last week.  Unbeknownst to her, Susan Rodkey, a patron of the Lebanon Community Library, borrowed the 150,000th item.   Susan is already an avid user of the e-library and looks forward to reading books on her new tablet.  When asked about her win, Susan said, “I can’t believe I won, I’m never this lucky!” Lylab Technology Solutions furnished an Acer Iconia Tab 10 Tablet, perfect for borrowing even more ebooks, to Susan in honor of the occasion.

The library’s digital books are free for anyone with a valid Lebanon County Library System library card.  If you don’t already have a library card, bring photo identification with your current Lebanon County address on it to any of our libraries in Annville, Fredericksburg, Lebanon, Myerstown, Palmyra or Richland to register for a free library card.  Visit www.lclibs.org for hours of operation.  Follow Lebanon County Library System on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about other library events.

Readers can access the library’s digital collection 24/7 by visiting https://lclibs.overdrive.com or by downloading the free Libby app from their device’s app store. Users can borrow bestsellers and classic eBooks and digital audiobooks to enjoy on smart phones, tablets, Kindle Fires, and other eReaders, MP3 players, and computers. There are never late fees with digital titles as they return automatically at the end of the lending period.  There are currently 3,500 titles to choose from in both e-book and e-audiobook formats.
