Library Circulation Assistant:

Hours are on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Schedule varies: 6 to 14 hours a week

Requirements and Skills needed:

  • High School diploma

Pay is $12 to start with a chance for a raise after the probationary period.

Youth Room Coordinator:

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Programming
  • Outreach and Community Relations
  • Professional Development
  • Keep accurate statistics on room use
  • Other duties as assigned by the director

Qualifications:

We understand that a suitable candidate may not have all the qualifications listed here, but we do expect that the staff member will strive to develop them over time.

  • Previous working experience with youth is essential
  • Knowledge of youth/YA literature and publishing
  • Knowledge of current trends in library services to youth
  • Knowledge and skills to develop and conduct STEM/STEAM programming
  • Ability to equally engage youth of all abilities and backgrounds with a patient, enthusiastic, and genuine demeanor
  • Ability to work with individuals of diverse populations with respect and equitable service
  • All necessary clearances will be on file- PA Child Abuse History, Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprinting.

Hours of Work:

Work schedule is as follows: Monday 10-2, Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday 1-5pm (Youth Room is open 2:30-5)

Other hours are at the discretion and approval of the director; this includes additional programs outside of the regular youth room/planning hours.

Pay: $13.50 to start with a chance for a raise after the probationary period.
